Tobermory Days 18-19 (Fri 6-Sat 7 Sep)

Kim took us to camp at an old stone quarry (owned by a relative) at Tobermory on the northern tip of Bruce Peninsula. The quarry was flooded and surrounded by dense wood land, making a beautiful and secluded spot.  Stephen followed later in the evening after work on his motorbike.

The rig and campsite.

Saturday was wet and foggy but a great day for visiting things in Tobermory.

The Chi-Cheemaun Ferry leaving for Manitoulin Island in fog.

Forest, from the visitor centre tower.

Back at camp, still foggy but not raining.

Old cabin, being renovated for camping.

The evening camp fire.

Launch of a lantern. We followed its path up through the mist for five minutes or so.
