The walk home was along the Mallory Beach road. Mallory beach is a lakeside subdivision in which most houses are on the land side of the road with titles that extend across the road to the lakefront.
Houses have boat launching facilities and more on the lakeside. Most houses are holiday homes although there are some permanent residents.
"Inukshuks" are a common decoration along the lakefront.
Most houses are quite opulent with a few old originals.
We finished our three hour walk by dropping in on Colpoy Falls (just over the road from "home"), to catch them in full sunlight.
