HH Day 4: Alice Springs to Dalhousie 01

An early start from Alice Springs,

out through the gap almost to the airport

then turn off onto the unsealed "Old Ghan" track.

Timing was just right to see the dawn balloon flights drift over us,

then on into rolling sandy "Desert Oak" country
(young ones in the foreground, mature trees on the right).
