Katherine Gorge was a revisit after about ten years.
"Improvements" have made for better information, access and safety,
but detracted somewhat from its feeling of "wilderness".
(It is almost impossible not to hear the amplified commentaries from the tour boats.)
However, there are still wonderful cameos of water, red rocks,
contorted, adapted vegetation
and wildlife, if one is prepared to wait and watch.
