MOLINE
We travelled to Moline (about 40 kms from Pine Creek along the Kakadu Highway), arriving there late morning. It was good to see developments there since our earlier visit quite some years ago. Accommodation for the participating families is creative and not controlled by building regulations. The nine hole golf course is a credit to the committee and represents a great deal of time and work.
Henry by Stewart's and Veronica's place.
During the afternoon Veronica took us to two places not known or visited by most people - Kambolgie Creek and Moline Rockhole.

Just on sunset Veronica took us on a tour of the golf course on one of their quads. In a magical setting, we stopped to talk to some of those who were also staying and working for the weekend - with beers of course. Talk was fascinating - wild pigs, buffalo, summer flooding and the occasional crocodile providing maintenance problems.
A barramundi had been caught during the afternoon - just big enough to keep - and was offered to us if we wanted it.
Dinner was "beef stroganoff" cooked on an open fire.
