NORTHING DAY 02 - FRIDAY 01 JUNE 2018

ALONG THE OODNADATTA TRACK

Lake Eyre South (no water from the northern wet yet).

Curdimurka was venue for a big Royal Flying Doctor service fund-raising ball, for some years.

 On to the mound springs.

The Bubbler

Blanche Cup

A lone cyclist on the track.

Kewson Hill (one of the many sites of Seven Sisters dreaming).

Old Beresford railway dam.

Red sandhill country (Irrapatana and another "Big Red"- almost as impressive as the Birdsville version).

Mesa landforms with glistening from mica.. We noted interpretative signs along the track about the current program to conserve our mesas. (We seem to get some things right although tyre marks suggest continuing abuse by irresponsible 4WD-ing.)

William Creek (old rail bridge and the famous/infamous pub).

 Duff Creek,

 Historical relics along the track.

Old fettler cottages at Peake ruins.

A great camp at Algebuckina Waterhole on Allendale Station.
