Niagara-on-the-Lake - Day 46 (Fri 04 Oct)

Niagara-on-the-Lake was last stop for the day (What a day!).
We were anxious to spend some time here after being impressed 20 years ago.
The main street was well done, but now a busy, up-market, shopping precinct.

Back from the main street, there are tree lined residential streets with squirrels and beautifully restored and maintained old houses - some older than South Australian settlement.

Then there is the outlook over Lake Ontario and the record of those who have swum solo the 51 km lake crossing.

There are many historical markers like this that remind viewers of how old the settlement is.

Churches and cemeteries abound.

One of the most sensitive family sculptures we have seen  (the Holy Family? any family?) in the Catholic church garden of prayer for world peace.
