OUTBACK NSW DAY 7 WEDNESDAY 22 MAY 2019

STURT NATIONAL PARK (EAST)

The eastern loop of the park is much shorter than the loop through the western part but perhaps had more interest and rougher roads.

The eastern Tibooburra sign.

The Moomba - Sydney gas pipeline again.

There is an excelllent outdoor exhibition of early  pastoral industry equipmentust inside the park.

The shearers' quarters are just across the creek from the old shearing shed with access by a swing bridge (that replaces the old swing bridge - pictured).

The road condition and landscape  vary interestingly during the drive.
A number of old out-station locations are included.
Some are available for short term accommodation.

Near Tibooburra we stopped to get a landscape shot of where our campsite was located.

A visit to the old Golden Gully Gold Mining Site (just near our camp), a drink (under fly-nets) and some sunset photography finished a very enjoyable day.
