OUTBACK NSW DAY 14 WEDNESDAY 29 MAY 2019

HOME TO LAURA

After rain overnight and the promise of more we decided to drive straight home to Laura via Morgan and Burra, checking out places along the way.

MENINDEE TO RENMARK

Again a change of plans occured. A crucial refuelling point did not have diesel available so, instead of heading out into the South Australian Danggali Conservation Park, we drove south to Wentworth and then, with rain threatening, on to Mildura for a last night with motel accommodation.

The Darliing was clearly low when not dammed back. Lakes that we had previously seen with water were dry. There was little water anywhere in the Menindee Lakes - Kinchega National Park.

On out to the highway then south to Wentworth.

On to Renmark - Lake Victoria looking very dry.

OUTBACK NSW DAY 12 MONDAY 27 MAY 2019

MUTAWINTJI TO MENINDEE

Plans were to travel mostly on unsealed roads directly to Menindee, however some of the tracks were in fenced station properties and obviously not meant for through traffic. This meant a revisit to Broken Hill that we put to use enabling a visit to the Jack Absalom Gallery that was closed when we tried earlier.
