Queensland Trip Day 1 - Friday 21 July 2017 - Laura to Italowie gorge

Right away we decided to "hit the dirt" straight away and travelled via Wilmington and Hammond instead of our planned Orroroo. It was a day of many memories for us.

LAURA

 Leaving Laura.

HAMMOND

Old but still alive Hammond with the mandatory visit to the cemetery.

 BELTANA

A visit to the old Beltana township had memories of the Beltana being our neighbouring small school when we were at Nepabunna. We travelled the above "old main road", now replaced on the other side of the range by a sealed road.

NEPABUNNA

The last creek into Nepabunna - still just the same as when we lived there, other than the sealed road.

ITALOWIE GORGE

An evening camp at the western end of Italowie Gorge.
