Nepabunna Mission 80 Years Celebration - November 2011

On the way in from Copley.
A particularly pretty gap remembered from when we lived at Nepabunna in the mid 1960s.

The last creek crossing at the entry to Nepabunna.

Bush camp near Mount Rowe.

A family of emus was interested in us.

Fire lighting ceremony, conducted by some of our old students from the 1960s.

Launch of the Adnyamathanha flag.

Near Hookina on the way back home.

Evening caught us south of Blythe on the way home
giving wonderful golden light to the fields.

Robe - September 2011 (Beth)

Nora Creina

Flight

A "Coorong" full of water and bird life.

From the Narrung punt - between Lake Alexindrina and Lake Albert.

Point Malcolm - Australia's only inland lighthouse
(maybe the only inland lighthouse in the Southern Hemisphere).

Robe - September 2011 (John)

Our breakfast spot at "Cricklewood Cottage"
overlooking coastal scrub and Lake Felmongery.

Nora Creina bay.

Approaching rain over "The Obelisk" at Robe.

Waves at West Beach, Robe.

The beach at "42 Mile Crossing" in the rain.

A little 4wd fun accessing some spots.

Our trip to Sydney 13 (October 2010)

A farewell to some of the friends we made at the tourist park,

and back through the open spaces between Sydney and Adelaide,
the Hay Plains (that most people but us seem to dislike) -
a great, but not really relaxing trip.

Our trip to Sydney 12 (October 2010)

A last visit to the city - Chinese Gardens (another favourite for us),

where a Chinese wedding was in process,
Darling Harbour (that we found crowded and uninviting on a Saturday afternoon),
Queen Victoria Building, then back home through a torrential Sydney thunder storm
that put our part of the rail system out for several hours with a lightening strike on the Bridge.
Still time to catch this beautiful fungus by the road on our walk from the railway station.

Our trip to Sydney 11 (October 2010)

A day in the Blue Mountains.
Some blooms at Mount Tomar Botanical Gardens -
a favourite of ours, comparable to the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens
but a lot further from the city centre.
