Cape Croker Lighthouse was the other target for this beautiful day,
via a sighting from the road of this environmental home that we had seen under construction last trip and the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation community at Cape Croker.
The Niagara Escarpment is ever present, overlooking Georgian Bay on the west. however, the view eastward gives an uninterrupted horizon of water.

Apple trees grow wild, even right by the lake side. One is reminded of the "Johnny Appleseed" story - myth or history? One also wonders if they might not be a threat to the local apple industry, harbouring pests.
