OUTBACK NSW ; 16-29 MAY 2019

As well as responding to a part of Australia that we have not visited, this trip was a trial of using our trailer for bush travel. Our swag was mounted on the trailer with the space beneath providing storage for other camp furniture - stove, table, seats etc. Our final judgement of the trailer was that we actually prefer sleeping with the swag on the ground and that dust leakage into the trailer was a major problem for us.

The itinerary was planned to be flexible with no pre-bookings. This proved fortunate when flooding from the Paroo River caused some road closures and one fuel stop was out of diesel. We also found one track on the map that was not there, necessitating an unplanned second visit to Broken Hill.

The final result was very satisfying and a great trip.
