Darwin briefly : 1-4 October 2012

At the East Point War Museum.
A well presented documentation of Darwin's WW2 involvement that was never taught to us at school. (too close for comfort?)

Tea on the wharf (always pleasant).

42 Mile Crossing again and Raukkan - December 2011

A promised overnight camping trip with Veronica, Stewart, Jacob and Emily.
The wind blew ceaselessly for all of the first day and night, just on the edge of sand-blast.

The beach campsite just north of 42 Mile Crossing.

The coming of evening.

Next morning - relative calm at last.

A visit to Raukkan (formerly Point McLeay Mission),
catching up with a significant part of the Wiley history -
Rev George Taplin (John's Great-great-grandfather)
and David Blackwell (John's Great-grandfather).

The church on the "David Unaipon"Australian $50 note.
